I'm pleased you weren't offended. I was rather worried you'd be outraged at my presumption – hence, my not mentioning you in the piece. For full carity, yours wasn't precisely the impetus, just part of the discussion; it just the latest in a string of articles and commentary lambasting Gen Z. But, it was in response to your post, where I felt comfortable in sharing my sentiments. Most of the folks – "the old guard" I referred to – are rather more aggressive in their disagreements.

My anger on this topic is not directed at you, I hop you know. That comfort in responding which you make space for in your writing did inspire the confidence in me to really let loose and fully vent, though. Thanks for that.
