I'm sorry, but my experience has been very different – and that is with church organizations across seven states and a multitude of fundamentalist kin and circles in which I grew up. Recall, Trump had his personal preacher on the campaign trail. She got away with that because she wasn't in the pulpit – but she used her status to promote Trump. Plenty of "evangelicals" made themselves power players in Trump's regime, validating him. Such groups are validating rightwing targeting of marginalized groups as we speak. That is tremendous influence upon those politicians and with their constituencies. Just because preahers and religious groups don't say it from the pulpit doesn't mean they aren't weilding their influence to great harm.
