IME, the people so enamored of this idea already are little impacted by those words they grew up memorizing in Sunday school. How many can claim not to have broken several or all of the commandments? Sure, most people probably haven't killed.

How many have cheated on their partners? How many have stolen some little something, like office supplies? Who hasn't looked at celebrities and the wealthy and not coveted their lives – isn't that why we've elevated them to celebrities, and why we're so eager to revel in their fall? What is that smartphone in your hands but a modern graven image? Who doesn't work on the sabbath these days? Do any of us know anyone who's never taken the Lord's name in vain? Aren't they clinging to Trump and their gun cult more than to the God who is love?
