It does. And, mainline Protestant churches need to rethink their outreach. But, again, that evangelical church attendance is because their members need to wave their Jesus flag and be seen to do so. They need that far and away more than they are moved to actually live a Christ-centered faith.

Yes, we need fellowship with each other and that translates to churches. But, that's man's need to define and constrain what we cannot even hold in our hands. Jesus never told anyone to go out and build a church or start a religion. He told us how to be the image of God in the world.
