It is a fine line to walk between engagment and being subjected to abuse. I've encountered folks who match all your criteria across social media. I've actually encountered far less of that on Medium, but yes, still here too. I've only blocked a couple of people here; I've blocked maybe thousands on Facebook – and no, I'm not being hyperbolic.

I've even encountered a stalker here who created a new account to come back to my responses to blast me for not welcoming being mansplained at. He didn't even use a different username until I posted an essay calling him out. Then, Medium took his profiles down for a bit. The last one seems to be back, but under a different name. So far, he hasn't dropped back into my response threads.
