It really couldn't happen. There is no solid regional divide now. Take Illinois, for instance. Here in North Carolina, The RTP is pretty solidly blue (especially Wake County, where I live); but oustide populated areas, it's hard-core MAGA country. It's a solidly red state except for Chicago. Even New York's and California's rural areas lean red. And, the liberal areas in otherwise red states are those states economic, tech, and industrial centers.

That's what these civil war nuts don't understand: If they went to war against liberal enclaves, they'd be laying waste to their economic centers, driving us all into abject poverty and a retrograde society.
