It’s good to hear your granddaughter is experiencing the first fruits of what I see as the changing attitudes in the current generation of young men and women. I’ve heard about and seen a growing number of similar stories about elementary school girls accessing STEM learning options formerly reserved for little boys. In my estimation, this generation of young men encouraging and expecting young women as their peers in STEM fields is a gravitational shift in our societal evolution. I think that’s why we’re seeing STEM studies embracing girls in their earliest formative educational years right now.
