It's so hard not to take these things personally. I try to remind myself that someone's reaction like that is more about what they're struggling with than it could ever possibly be about me. They're just some distant stranger who doesn't know me and lacks the will or theh kindness to even try. And, that I'm likely better off for not having to navigate their darkness.
