It's the new rallying cry. It began with the forced birther movement. GOP political agendas whipping up their white Christian nationalist base, giving them an issue to oppress marginalized, but in a way that they don't have to feel like greedy, hateful racists and bigots. Make it superficially "all about the children" and you'll find white "Christian" nationalists turning their greed and fear into political action every time.
