I've always had a problem with the whole superhero label for ordinary folks rising to achieve the extraordiary. It's always felt like it was saying no one else can do as good. It tells the rest that achieving the extraordinary is out of our reach and there's no reason to even try. And, it says that we don't need to worry about trying to help because the superhero needs no help.
