I've been frustrated with our local pharmacies too. But, that's an issue with my insurance coverage. My insurance company, Aetna, is owned by CVS Pharmacy Inc out of Rhode Island. To get 3-month prescriptions, you have to use the CVS pharmacy. The insurance won't cover 3-months fills at any other pharmacy.

But, CVS isn't where I get my meds; I get them at the NC grocery store pharmacy where Hamid works. See, for all those prescriptions, we get fuel points at the store-owned pumps. We also earn VIP rewards toward groceries. PLUS Hamid receives an employee discount on store purchases. The gas alone is frequently $1 off per gallon. We couldn't afford meat without those VIP rewards and his employee discount. Plus, the store and the pharmacy are local; their headquarters are in Matthews, NC.

But, this Hartford CT insurance company keeps trying to manipulate us away from our local one and over to that Woonsocket RI pharmacy. I really hate CVS.
