I've had similar issues all my life. My veins aren't bendy. But, I do have dodge 'em veins. Phlebotomists have a terrible time catch one and then holding onto it long enough to draw blood – let alone keep an IV going.

And, my natural red hair came with extremely fair skin which burns readily and easily freckles even without burning. I literally have freckles on every body part – some left over from toddler streaking escapades. Add to that my dark green, yet highly light sensitive eyes.

To top it off, as is natural and all too common with natural redheads, I also have very sensitive skin and a raft of other allergies. My doctors have also passed off my anomalous reactions to medications as being "the redhead curse" – if there's a less than 5% chance of it, I'll be the one to have the frelling reaction. For example, Zyrtec has a less than 5% chance of causing menstrual irregularities. In me, that meant a period every two weeks for months on end until I and my OBGYN stumbled across the issue by process of elimination. Respiratory issues like asthma aren't uncommon for redheads either.

And, as is normative with redheads, I am chronically anemic. Worse, as I'm aging, it's requiring regular iron infusions because my redheaded self has never stored iron efficiently (the reason for the anemia) and that gets worse with age, I guess.
