I’ve had so many self-contradictory responses from so-called conservatives. It’s not just Facebook. Those folks were always there. I know because I grew up in their midst. My background is growing up in fundamentalist evangelical circles, under the oppression of selective Biblical literalism in a condemning and punitive belief system. Angry, scared people need a punitive god wielding literalism and otherism as a weapon against any differences. Sadly, Facebook just gave them a forum and helped them find others to validate the inherent cruelty of their ignorance.
