I've long made it a point to do that. As a maturish young woman in the 1990s, I told the gyno at Planned Parenthood (where we got our basic care, donchaknow), that I only went twice a day – once before I left for the morning and once before I went to bed. I rarely felt the urge to go any more frequently. She had a minor fit. She told me how bad that was for my bladder and my entire biology. She said I should be going every four hours minimum. I cultivated that habit to go even if I don't feel the urge.
