I've only ever been to one Pride parade in September during the early 2000s. We owned a café on the street down which PrideFest made its dancing, laughing procession in Columbia, MO. It seemed so well received back then. The parade participants took the hands of children watching in front of our café. I was touched by how the adults clapped and laughed with them.
I can't imagine that now. It's heartbreaking to watch a too-powerful minority dragging us backwards as a society. The so-called party of small government wants government to control our thoughts, our bodies, and even what love is.
