I've read and continue to read many things by newbie writers. I may offer advice on tools to improve for these writers — like reading well written literature, for example. But, I don't point out all their errors. If the writer seems open to it, I'll offer that advice, which will likely also include recommending a Little, Brown Grammar Book, and studying a thesaurus to expand vocabulary and understanding. However, I do that in private messages, rather than open comments — that's just rude.
