Just because the groups for whom those terms and phrases were not allowed to be heard in the past does NOT mean their and our response is "manufactured" now. Those terms have long caused harm.

Rather than arguing for ignoring them or continuing to use them, let us consider what is kind. And, let us recall that the language is magnificient in all the ways we may use it with never insulting anyone.
