Locks only keep out a would-be criminal. A determined criminal will always get past the locks. He had an AR-15. That would have made short shrift of any locks.

No civilian should be able to purchase military-style weapons. No one. Those style of weapons exist ONLY as people killing machines. There is no justification for selling civilians people killing machines.

No one has a god-given right to a gun of any sort, as we keep seeing the extreme 2nd Amendment folks claim. The only place guns are "god given rights" is where the gun is god.

It boggles the mind that the same people insisting upon controlling abortion are also insisting on no controls on guns – which undeniably just aborted the lives of 19 actual thinking, breathing, feeling human children, destroying their angelic little faces to the point of unrecognizability.
