Hang on a minute, there. I say "ain't" too. All Suthnahs do. We all say "ain't" and we all say "y'all" – Y'all all should know there ain't nothin' wrong with that. LOL

Seriously though, all American Southerners use "ain't" in the common vernacular. It is not a sign, nor lack thereof for intelligence or education. I'm grad school educated and an author of poetry and fiction.

Otherwise, yes… "His poor wife or girlfriend."
