LOLOL My father had a similar experience. He ordered the all you can eat shrimp. After I can't remember how many plates, the owners tried to refuse further service. They gave similar reasons as you received.

However, my father was not so gracious. He insisted they keep it coming. He stayed until they ran out of shrimp.

The restaurant removed the option from their menu afterwards.
