Looks like a delicious and convenient chili recipe.
We happen to be having my "Everything Chili" for dinner tonight. Its pretty balanced nutritionally, with every necessary food group included in this meal. The chili itself is made with 90% lean beef (which makes no grease needing to be drained); The only added fat is about 3 tablespoons of EVOO. The chili has three kinds of beans – black, kidney, and pinto for my recipe. It also includes my special blend of fresh garlic, herbs and spices (including my 3 secret ingredients), plus sweet onion and green bell peppers and chilis and diced tomatoes and corn, all in tomato sacue and tomato paste for a thick and hearty texture. And, it's served with freshmade honey-cornbread.
It also, over 35 years ago, began life as my award-winning vegetarian chili (just drop the beef). But, like all my old vegetarian recipes, my carnivore husband tried it and said, "This is really good. Needs meat." Hence the 90% lean ground beef. LOL
