Manifest Destiny is predicated upon Dominion theology. Dominionism dictates that they are supposed to impose Christian theocracy upon the world. They literally believe it is their divine mandate to take dominion over all humankind and all creation.

Ipso facto, anyone or anything that challenges their dominion is against God – is the enemy of God.
