Sadly, it’s not an exaggeration to say that Trump, MAGA, and the GOP want to force us backward — into the (imagined) wondrous 1950s, before all those ‘horrible’ social movements/ atrocities like women’s liberation, the civil rights movement, environmentalism, and the EPA came into being.

More like the 1600s. Trump's SCOTUS just overturned the "deeply rooted" and "unbroken tradition" of 250 years presidential legal accountability. They've effectively established a new "Divine Right" to rule.
