My blood pressure was okay (meds working), but my arrhythmia and glucose caused some minor concern. My glucose was uncharacteristically low (around 70) — probably from not eating since the evening before and taking my diabetes meds twice since the last time I'd eaten. The arrhythmia was a concern because they weren't expecting it; but they saw in my records that it is normal for me and only a fairly minor arrhythmia.

They determined to just monitor it closely during the procedure. And, as soon as I woke up, they gave me a nasty glucose drink. Blegh! And, double blegh! Plus, I had to go through it twice because they only did one eye at a time.
