My Gran saved me from the trivails of my parental home. Spending my summers with her was a respite form those trivails. And, she's the reason I went to college. It was in college where I began to build my own family, to grow into the person my husband would later know and love. If it hadn't been for my grandparents, I truly believe I wouldn't here now – those summers were my reason to keep going.
