My half-Persian son has been called a sand n-word on multiple occassions. He's also been threatened that "Trump's gonna send you and your dad to the gas chambers," by middle school bullies to whom no discipline was exacted. But, my son was disciplined for stepping in to an altercation to defend a Latinx transfer student by throwing up his Taekwondo block an assault on the Latinx kid; the attacking kid's wrist was hurt and my son was punished for it with in-school suspension. The school did nothing about his bullies until it escalated to actual assault which left my son with a serious concussion from which it took him more than six months to recover.
