My kin would never give up the opportunity to try to convince me of what they see as the error of my ways. Oh… but then, when the inevitable breakdown in relations comes, it's all my fault; they didn't mean it "that way" and/or "that’s not what we said" and/or "you shouldn't disrespect us" (by not agreeing we are right and you wrong) and/or "family is family" (we're always right and you owe us your unquestioning loyalty no matter how we treat you) and/or "you're over-sensitive” (i.e., we're not abusing you, you're nuts).
