My payout was just pennies first few days too. I had been on Medium since 2016, I think and had almost 1000 followers. But, I didn't become a member and partner until the middle of this past March. Now, in middle June, I've already made more than the annual membership fee.

I'm not really writing here for the money, though. I said to myself when I joined that if I made the membership fee I'd be satisfied. I didn't expect to make it back so quickly though. And, now… I keep having to remind myself I'm here for the connections and to grow as a writer – LOL.
