My son's 2012 Camry hybrid is pushing 225K miles. But, it's a Toyota. If you maintain the engine properly, they never die. My 2014 Camry hybrid, which we just got a couple of months ago, has around 190K.

My husband's been driving his regular 2001 Camry since 2008; it's pushing 300K. The body on that one is really rough. And, we were in an accident in 2008, not long after we got it. It was totaled by the insurance company. But, he found a guy to put a new rear end on it and has continued driving it. The engine runs like a champ. We still call the car his shitbox. LOL

My first car I ever bought was 1981 Tercel. Man that thing kept on chuggin' along. Uncle Andy (the car dealer and good friend of my Gran's), pulled out of a field, where it had been abandoned for a year after the driver lost his license because of drunk-driving. I drove that thing from NC, across the mountains to east TN to visit my sister.

Then, I was following my sister's directions when visiting her in Somerville TN and she directed me over puddle extending across the entrance to this parking lot. There was a jagged, deep pothole under the water that tore up the undercarriage of my car.

I still drove onwards to my end destination in Columbia, Missouri. And, I drove that car until 1996. We sold it to a MU student. When we left in 2007, I was still seeing that car running around town.

We love Toyota!
