Oh… it's so much worse than that.
By law, he cannot now vote in the coming election. In most US states, a felon's rights to vote are suspended at least until he has served his time and any probation, and made any sentenced reparations. Until he meets the full terms of his conviction and sentencing, he cannot legally vote.
Moreover, a security clearance is required for anyone employed in the White House. You cannot get a security clearance with a felony record. A felon cannot be employed by the White House. But, he could be POTUS. <<<smdh>>>
He can't vote. He'd never get a security clearane. Hell, he can't even own a gun now.
Still, he can run for the highest office in the land. He could be sitting in a jail cell come election day. It's seems unimaginable, but it's entirely feasible he could still be elected.
