Oh my… I could NOT have endured that. I would have had to say something. That sound and the sound of crickets in the house or the walls or foundations around my house drive me spare like you wouldn't believe! In my case, it's so bad that everyone who cares about me knows about it. I can't imagine any of them would be offended if I said something.
