Once he became a teen, my son prefered a late schedule too. I don't really have a problem with that in itself. Unfortunately, we live in a small home where sound travels – and he and his night-owl buddies online are loud. My husband works very early; he has to be at work at 5am most days; when he bakes, he has to be there at 3am.

It's a matter of not disturbing the schedule of the rest of the household to keep his night-owl hours.
