Only white people. My white mother and all-white immediate kin tell him he cannot be Persian and that trying to be Persian is why he faces racial/ethnic discrimination. They seem to feel that his identifying as Persian is somehow a betrayal of their whiteness. The white people discriminating against him tell him with their racist/ethnic abuse he cannot be white because his father is not. In both groups of white people, they are basing their bigotry on their hatred and fear of non-white people.
