Our purpose should be to reflect the image of God who is love. I believe that's what is meant by "created in the image of God." And, the Bible itself tells us that it is NOT the Word of God.

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." The Word existed before humankind, before words. God is love. If Jesus is an expression of the Trinity, then He too is love.
Jesus taught and lived radical agape love into the world. What is the Word of God?
