Sadly, I don't think we really "educate" people. That implies teaching people to apply knowledge with discernment. Being able to do that goes beyond critical thinking, which isn't much taught either. No, we don't "educate" people. We stuff their heads with knowledge but don't challenge them to actuallty become able to apply that knowledge in a meaningfully educated way which might help evolve a more just and equitable society.
