Sadly, I have to agree with your points. My son has said things that make believe he holds similar views.
In addition, if someone is planning for kids these days, I would tell them what I told my son, "Don't make me a grandma before your thirty." I think older parents are better prepared for parenthood. I had my son at forty; true, I didn't have a choice in that – infertility made that choice. But, I know being older I was a much better parent than I'd have been at 18 or 20.
If my son does have children – and I'm still around – I'd happily help with home schooling them as a matter of safety, especially through middle school. Why is middle school such a universal torment system for kids?
