Sadly, that's long been the right's free speech argument, that we must accord tolerance for even the most hateful speech. Of course, it completely ignores the bit about screaming fire in a crowded theater not being free speech because it incites harm.

Tolerating hate speech incites harm. That's how stochastic terrorism works — hate speech leading to some listener acting out the terrorism.
