Sadly, this is an extremist pushback on progress. We're seeing it everywhere on every issue. Conservatives' numbers are declining and with it, they evision the demise of their long held prestige, privilege, and power. It's easy to see that they are driving people away from conservatism with their politics of cruelty. And, with their numbers decling, their Dominionist theocratic dreams will die with them.

I'm very much afraid it's going to get much worse before it gets better. But, I still hold out hope that it will get better – that the next more inclusive generation will outlive them and undo their cruelty.
