But, the party has spent the last 60± years trying to supplant our constitutional democratic republic with their vision of a Dominionist theocratic corporate feudal state in which the corporations hold all the money and all the power, and we are expected to just shut up and work until we die.

I recommend you read up on "Dominion Theology;" it's been around for quite some time and is almost entirely the impetus behind the Tea Party – Ted Cruz's father is a proponent and preacher of it. And, Republicans have always been corporatists. There is not room for Christ in such an ideology.
