Sea World parks and amusement parks in general (including Disney) have long been lax in preventing these kinds of incidents. If the same people who produce the show Sesame Street also managed the park and scripted the mascots, I'm sure this wouldn't have happened.
This has hurt the Sesame Street brand. But, I think we must remember, the park is not really the program. It's just another tourist-trap capitalizing on beloved characters of childhood.
