Slightly off topic, but… Toyota is a never die car. My husband's main car, which he drives to work and everywhere, is a 2001 Camry we've had since 2008. Christmas of 2008, the car was totalled by a rear side collision. My husband "knows a guy" who fixed it. The engine still works a treat as the car rattles its way back and forth from the little rural farm town where we live to his job in Raleigh.

My first car was a Toyota as well. Man… that car took a beating and wouldn't die – that's a loooong story for another time. In 1989, I picked up a 1981 Corolla-Tercel (that's what the model plate said) which we sold in 1993. I used to see it still on the road when we lived in MO. I could recognize it from the FTCC NC (Fayetteville Technical Community College of NC) sticker on the rear trunk. Right before we left MO, I saw that car making its way through the snow and ice of 2007.
