That was smart. Women can spot the foolishness. And, while we may be amused in the moment, foolishness doesn't inspire lasting connection. That requires sincerity and a demonstration that we can trust a man with our hearts – coupled with the optimistic perspective that we aren't being deceived by men into trusting them.
