That's not true. dycalculia is basically dyslexia, but with numbers. And, just as with dyslexia, there are developmental intervensions for it. Your college will certainly have labs or tutors to help you. Check with the math department. Failing that, check with the education departments, specifically with developmental education services.

If you are diagnosed with dycalculia, you could contact your state or county's vocational rehabilitation services. They can connect you to the resources. You may also then qualify for some financial assistance from them for school – which could include childcare assistance.
