There is so much entrenched "God made me do it" in your explanation of why you want to impose your OPINION on the scripture and upon women.
Oviously, you are not willing to honestly examine your opinions – which lacks any empathy or compassion for the actual thinking, breathing women walking among us. All your defense is for a fetus – a potentiality. Neither will you accept the actual record of the Bible clearly NOT representing your opinion. You just dismiss the actual words in the Bible questioning your opinion, the history of abortion – Roe didn't invent it, y'know – and even the medical science. You have your black and white OPINION and damn an entire half of humanity.
I may not be completely right. But if so, I err on the side of thinking, breathing human beings. I'd rather be wrong on the side of kindness to real people than to be right on the side of cruelty in the name of potentiality.
And, as you say, God will as God will. When God chose, he chose radical kindess and grace by becoming The Word made flesh in Christ. Whatever punitive strictures God made, God set aside in forgiveness and grace. You would deny that for thinking, breathing half of humanity.
Again, Roe did not invent abortion. Women have been finding ways to end pregnancy as long as women have been getting pregnant. It's the hardest decision a woman makes and she never makes it lightly. Denying her medically safe abortions – that's all Roe does – is condeming her to suffering and/or death.
Where is kindness and compassion in that? Where is God's grace and radical love in that?
Pontificate as you choose in answer to this. I will not respond again. What would be the point?
