They're also good for scraping out the lotion left in retail lotion sqeeze tubs or pump bottles. I cut one end open, use my small rubber spatula and scrap out as much as 2 or 3 ounces of lotion that cannot be gotten out with whatever method the container comes with. That's another week or two of lotion that would otherwise be thrown away!

When the jar is empty, wash it and save it for the next time.
