Thing is… cutting the mic only keeps the audience and viewers from hearing all that crap. It may aid the listener in parsing individual performance. However, Trump still kept up that stead stream of crap with Biden able to hear every bit of it — and it was every bit as distracting and derailing as if we'd all been able to hear it.
