This is a cogent and thoughtful assessment, IME. Her appearance is jarring and concerning in a way that has nothing to do with ageism or feminism. There is a plastic surgery look emerging that has all its adherents sporting essentially the same uncanny visage. If you placed Madonna's new visage next to any of a number of plastic surgery adherents – both male and female – I'm not certain you could clearly differentiate her. All their visages are uncanny and disturbing.

Madonna has erased the uniqueness of the face with which she was born.
