This may be satire, but I can see the very impacts you make jest of in children and teens of my own acquaintance – and a growing desire to seek education and employment outside the USA. This #EvilMongering regime of ignorance, greed, and bigotry is creating a need in our children to escape. The beginnings of brain drain are underway already. It’s no secret that France’s Macron openly and enthusiastically recruits America’s best and brightest in climate and environmental science and technologies. It’s a open secret that Germany is recruiting America’s brightest right out of high school, and even looking at them as early as middle school (I know this because my own thirteen-year old son has come to the attention of Seimens which partners with German university apprentice/work programs). Most of Europe and the UK are following suit in their own small ways, as well as Canada and Australia. What we are about to experience in the clearest terms is the Great American Brain Drain.
