True story
Anyone who sees my son with only me swears he's the male image of me. Yet, everyone who sees him with only his father, swears he looks just like his dad. Then, when he's with both of us, they talk about what a blend of us both he is. It's been that way since he was born. LOL
From his Persian father, his skin tones similar; but, he's more fair complexioned from my VERY fair skinned complexion (seriously, I'm so fair I'm practically translucent — LOL). He got his father's ebony eyes. He also got his father's height; my husband is unusually tall for Persians. He got my brow line, but my husband's unibrow.
Both my husband and I were blessed with thick, luscious hair (before he went bald). But, like my own, my son's hair grows like wildfire (upwards of 8-inches a year). The black in our son's hair is definitely from his dad, whose hair was that blue-black color before he started turning silver. Yet, our son also has red in his hair from me. It's the damnedest thing… his hair is black AND red. When his beard came in, it came in black from his sideburns and under his chin; the mustache is mixed black and red. But, there's a swath of vibrant red beard filling the goatee area.
