Ummm… how? I was a non-paying member for years and never earned any money. My understanding is that you cannot receive any money from Medium unless you set up the Stripe account. You have to be a paid member to do that.

Now, I have seen some people with patreon or "buy me a coffee" links – but those aren't funded from Medium's member fees.
